Will The Antichrist Be A Muslim Or Someone Of Another Background

As time goes on, many individuals have raised the question will the Antichrist be a Muslim? This may or may not be the case, but there are many valid reasons why individuals may think so. To some people, this theory is logical, as Muslims make it quite clear in their writings that Christians are their enemy. Not surprisingly, based on his name alone, the anti-christ obviously hates Christians also.

There are various religions in the world, some of which are peaceloving. Certain men and women have even stated that Islam is a religion of peace. Unfortunately, it clearly states in the Koran that the philosophy behind the religion is "convert or kill." Many people take this as proof that Muslims' religion is not associated with too many actions that would be considered peaceloving.

There is also a lengthy and complicated history concerning Muslims' hatred of Jews. Many theologians trace this issue back to Ishmael and Isaac, who were Abraham's sons by a concubine and his wife Sarah, respectively. The Bible clearly states that the antichrist particularly targets Jews, and this pattern obviously applies to modern-day Muslims and Jews.

The immense hatred of the Jewish race began with Mohammed. The latter claimed that Allah gave the command that Jews were evil and should be so treated. Many followers of Mohammed in that day embraced this philosophy. Numerous experts state that this hatred is merely because the Jews rejected Mohammed as their leader. Obviously, Christians do not worship Mohammed either. Therefore, it is not difficult to see why many individuals believe that the Antichrist may indeed be a Muslim.

Mohammed also stated that Jews are self-serving individuals. However, most Christians believe that Jews are favored by God, and chosen by him to be honored above all other races. In his early days, Mohammed instructed his disciples to ransack villages and raid caravans for gain. This was done in the name of Allah, and Mohammed retained approximately one-fifth of the spoil for himself. This makes his allusion to the "greedy Jewish race" quite hypocritical in the eyes of many.

In addition, Islam is widely known to promote certain types of violence. If one reads the Koran, this cannot be denied. For instance, it explicitly states in certain passages of this book, such as Sura 9:5, that wherever they are found, "idolaters" should be killed. Idolaters, of course, are any individuals who do not believe in Islam's God. This is likely what leads numerous individuals to believe in a Muslim Antichrist.

Eschatologists have varied opinions with regard to the end times. Certain experts think that the antichrist can essentially fool anyone, as he will appear as an all-American man. However, others believe in a sinister character who may find it difficult to fool numerous individuals. The Bible states that he would even deceive the "elect", but infers that this is not possible.

Those wondering will the Antichrist be a Muslim will likely not have an answer to their question until the end-time events actually begin to unfold. Many individuals think that we are very close to the end times, while others think the rapture and subsequent tribulation are many years away. Only time will tell who is correct and from where this individual will actually emerge.
