The person who is used to trim trees professionally is called an arborist. You can call a true arborist as a tree doctor. It is not so trouble-free to take care of a tree. For performing this job you should have a suitable knowledge, understanding and skill. A good arborist should have three major qualities. Firstly, know how to climb up a tree. Secondly, should have an ability to use the right type of tools. Lastly, ensure the safe falling of detached limbs.

Diverse types of tools are used by an arborist. Cutting tools are the most used equipments that are used in recent time by the arborist.

Tools used to Cut Tree

1. Your Shears for Lopping The lopping shear blade looks like as bypass pruning shear. Lopping shear consists of two long handles. Being long the handles are able to formulate heavy pressure on the object and the cutting becomes easy. For this accumulative pressure it is easy for you to cut a branch up to 1.5 inches through lopping shear.

2. Chain Saws for Slice Cutting The main uses of chain saws are to cut bigger branches. Chain saw is a power saw and the source of its power is either electricity or gas which operates a spinning chain. You can give a series of segment cut on the branch by the sharp teeth of chain saw. Again it can easily cut the whole branch. It is recommended not to hold chain saw above your shoulder and always wear a protective dress with eyewear at the time of working.

3. Saw on the Pole Pole saw is a kind of pruning saw containing sharp teeth that is attached at the top of a pole. As the pole saws are somewhat heavy it is not so easy to give a clear cut. Move fast after removing a branch with a pole saw. Otherwise you may be injured.

4. Hand Saws For Small Branches Hand saw is mostly used to cut small branches like 1 inch to 4 inches in diameter. This tool works well for little branches. You should use a special teethed pole saw for cutting larger branches.

Equipments necessary for protection and climbing up a tree

Tree climbing is somewhat recreational and fully practical task because, you have to move from crown to crown of a tree. You should use climbing gear and safety rope when you are getting on the tree. It is convenient to take a cable attachment at the time of working with a risky limbs.

If you want a strong protection for your head helmet is must for you.

It is compulsory for the arborist to wear a special type of clothing. It is important to wear hand gloves. It will act as a defender for wood splinters and cutting equipments. Arborist gets the long tree accessible by using a special shoes. For getting extra safety sometimes arborist use pants and other items which are made specially.

For getting into the top of the tree a true arborist is furnished with special truck equipment. This truck is known as cherry picker as it lifts up the arborist at top of the tree.
