Prepare the surfaces that you intend to paint by cleaning them and making sure they are dry. Remove dirt, molds and other debris. Cover plants and landscaping with plastic to protect them. Check the surfaces for cracking and peeling. These should then be scraped off. Then sand the surfaces and prime them. The surfaces are now ready for paint application.
Be aware of the temperature and weather. It is best to apply paint in low humidity and when temperatures are not lower than 75 or higher than 85 degrees Fahrenheit. Direct sunlight can cause heat blisters on freshly painted surfaces so paint when it is shady. Maintain a wet edge between areas you being painted and those that have been allowed to dry a bit.
